Inaugural Leadership Loudoun Youth Class of 2010 Graduates
Leadership Loudoun and Loudoun Youth, Inc. partnered to create a new leadership program for high school students. The inaugural program was held Monday, August 16th through Friday, August 20th, 2010. The Exclusive Grand Sponsor was Virginia Commerce Bank.
Leadership Loudoun Youth "Making Loudoun County the Best Place to Grow Up" is designed to engage youth and develop their leadership skills, helping them to become confident, knowledgeable, and contributing members of the community. The week-long program introduced high school students to Loudoun County history, geography, and culture and local business, state and local government, and local non-profit organizations and leaders throughout Loudoun County.

As current and emerging leaders, the members of the Leadership Loudoun Youth Class of 2010 were encouraged to continue to build their life experience and leadership toolbox / brand; specifically, leadership attributes, characteristics, competencies, qualities, skills, and traits --> behaviors; "Leadership is...influencing people"; "You must first lead yourself before you can lead others"; "Be a leader among leaders"; "Give Back" and "Pay It Forward"; "LEADERSHIP --> ACTION"; "ACTIONS speak Leadership LOUDounER than words."
At the graduation ceremony, each member of the Leadership Loudoun Youth Class of 2010 gave an inspiring testimonial about their experience. Leadership Loudoun Youth provided opportunity and inspired:
